Black Entertainment Television (BET) has on Wednesday April 16th unveiled its nominee list for its 7th Annual BET Awards at a press conference held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Hosted by comedienne Mo'Nique, BET organizers among any other categories named the special honorees and nominees vying for Best Male and Female Athlete awards.

Music diva Diana Ross is one of the honorees. She is slated to be handed BET Lifetime Achievement Award for her significant musical career. Meanwhile, actor Don Cheadle will be presented with this year's BET Humanitarian Award for his dedication to humanity.

As for the Best Male Athlete category, the nominees among others are Reggie Bush, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods. Vying for the award of Best Female Athlete, one strong candidate is tennis goddess Serena Williams.
