Damon Albarn made a statement regarding his disappointment towards Blur's two works. The vocalist who is also behind virtual band Gorillaz thinks that Blur's first and fourth albums are total flops.

"I've made hundreds of mistakes. I've made two bad records. The first record, which is awful, and The Great Escape, which was messy," said Albarn referring to 1991's "Leisure" and 1995's "The Great Escape".

He went on to comment on fellow British band Kaiser Chiefs' latest album "Yours Truly, Angry Mob". He said, "The Kaiser Chiefs' new record sounds a bit like The Great Escape in that it sounds a bit empty. Sometimes records are like that if you try too hard to repeat your success."
