Queen Latifah has signed on to be the leadstar of New Line Cinema's remake of the 1984 body-switching comedy "All of Me."

Still willing to bring some laughs to cinemas, Queen Latifah has given positive sign to topline "All of Me", a remake of the 1984 body-switching comedy which New Line Cinema is set to develop at its pit, The Hollywood Reported has learned.

The original flick, starring Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin, presented a story about a dying spoiled heiress whose soul flies into the body of a successful male lawyer. She, however, only gain controls on the right side of his body while he the left, causing friction and comedy.

While the project is currently out to writers, it has already had Los Angeles-born filmmaker Adam Shankman onboard to produce via his Offspring Entertainment shingle alongside partner Jennifer Gibgot and Ira Posansky. Meanwhile, Latifah will also executive produce with Shakim Compere, her manager and partner in Flavor Unit.
