Channing Tatum has gone 89 notches from its last-month position to be the top holder of AceShowbiz.com's Top 100 Celebrity Buzz of August edition.

Channing Tatum has indeed taken a fantastic leap this time. Riding high on his latest vehicle "Step Up" which successfully took #2 on U.S box office of the weekend in its debut on the list, the striking hunk has soared 89 notches from its last-month position to the top rank of AceShowbiz.com's Top 100 Celebrity Buzz of August edition.

Also taking great advantage from the exposure of the movie he stars in is another talented actor, Johnny Depp. Still enjoys the success of his "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", the guy delightfully goes up one step to the second place of the chart followed by Vida Guerra who also takes a level higher to seat firmly on number three.

While last month runner-up, Jenna Jameson sadly had to drop down a little to the fourth spot, teen star Zac Efron gloriously jumps six ranks to round out the top five of the list. Sharon Stone comes next with Carmen Electra trailing behind on number seven, right before the "Run It!" singer Chris Brown whose single of "Say Goodbye" becomes the soundtrack of "Step Up."

A great surprise marks the subsequent rank as Shakira makes her way to hop 38 steps from her 47th position last month to be the holdover of the spot, many thanks to her triumph at MTV VMA 2006 in Best Choreography category for "Hips Don't Lie." Right below her is megastar Tom Cruise, who also experiences significant leap as he boosts up 53 levels to the tenth spot.

Shifting attention to the new entry, 32 names have satisfyingly emerged to take up their rightful positions, notably Penelope Cruz and Sara Evans for both of them become the only two newcomers to break through the top 25 of the list with Cruz seating on #13 and Evans on #21. Other celebrities making their debuts here include Kristanna Loken, James Blunt, Milla Jovovich, plus Stacy Ferguson whose single entitled "London Bridge" drew huge success in music scene.

What should not be missed to notice of on the list are certainly the top movers and shakers. Apart from the aforementioned Tatum and Cruise, names like Anthony Hopkins, Heidi Klum, Christina Aguilera, also Orlando Bloom all encounter big leap of more than 40 notches this time. On the other hand, Jesse Metcalfe, Colin Farrell, Britney Spears, and Eminem unfortunately have to face huge fall on the charts with all going down below the 81st rank.
