Universal Wants Toro As the Wolfman
Movie

Universal Pictures will scare up a new version of its horror classic "The Wolfman," with Benicio Del Toro playing the title role, reports Variety

AceShowbiz -

Universal Pictures has pointed its finger to Benicio Del Toro as their one and only choice to play the title role in the new version of its horror classic "The Wolfman" which is expected for a summer 2008 tentpole.

While Andrew Kevin Walker has begun writing the script, Scott Stuber, Rick Yorn, Mary Parent, and Toro are all slated to give hand at producing.

Just like its 1941 original version, the new "Wolfman" will be set in Victorian England with Del Toro set to play man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.
