"Lost" star Evangeline Lilly has been chosen to be the new figure for the upscale rug manufacturer Karastan. Following the footsteps of fellow actress Andie MacDowell, Lilly will be featured in four print ads which are slated to begin running in the April issues of several lifestyle magazines, like Living, House & Garden, O, Architectural Digest, and Metropolitan Home.

Representing the company, VP of Marketing David Duncan gave explanation on Karastan's decision to sign an endorsement deal with Lilly. "We've scratched beneath the surface of the public persona of Evangeline Lilly and found quite an impressive and authentic young woman who's independent, adventuresome, a goal-setter and a caring humanitarian," so he said in a statement. "She possesses extraordinary qualities and has great integrity and we already see many parallels between her and the Karastan customer who seeks out a distinctive, unapologetic lifestyle."
