it's somewhat amusing - especially Tom Sturridge, who turns Lord Byron into poetry's version of Jack Sparrow - but immediately forgettable
for a film that chronicles the rise of a creator obsessed with the possibility of reanimating the dead, it's utterly lifeless...the film's own structure and style weaken into nothing more than a thin fever dream
a passionate film about a woman's ideas.
