the message of his movie, as opposed to the ostensible message of his preposterous anecdote, is pretty clear: revenge is entirely understandable, justifiable and likely to end well for people who are doing it for good motives
it's a delirious ride, full of fun and darkly comic moments, and its just the spike Liam Neeson needs as his badass persona had seemingly run its course
complicated and contrived, with a plot twist every few minutes; "Cold Pursuit" will not go down in history as one of Liam Neeson's most memorable efforts, but it's fun while it lasts, and he seems to have more fun than anyone else
an excellent film; "Cold Pursuit," is a rollicking good time and one of the action star's better revenge tales; Liam Neeson is as violent and angry as ever, but the story cleverly subverts your expectations every snowy step of the way
a generic, false-feeling revenge thriller that suffers from bad pacing (and worse optics); despite a fanciful score by George Fenton and fickle flourishes of deadpan humor, Cold Pursuit's wit barely finds a target
