Wisdom of the Crowd is an upcoming American crime drama television series created by Ted Humphrey and starring Jeremy Piven, Richard T. Jones, and Monica Potter. The series follows a tech entrepreneur who creates a crowdsourcing platform to solve his daughter's murder, but soon finds himself in over his head when the platform is used to solve other crimes, and to target individuals. The series is set to premiere on CBS on October 1, 2017.
In the promo video for the series, Piven's character, Jeffrey Tanner, introduces his crowdsourcing platform, called Sophe, to a group of people. He explains that Sophe can be used to solve any problem, from finding a lost pet to catching a criminal. Tanner is initially met with skepticism, but he soon wins over the crowd when he uses Sophe to solve a murder case. The promo video ends with Tanner declaring that Sophe is "a revolutionary change" that will "change the world."
