Sherlock and Joan investigate the murder of a woman who managed a high end Manhattan hotel. At first, there seems to be no shortage of suspects. Her husband had been laid off from work and was sleeping on the couch. A neighbor claims that a strange man kept coming by the house. A group of prostitutes had been frequenting the hotel and using it as their base of operations. When all of the leads dry up, however, Sherlock is left with an odd but irrefutable hypothesis--the victim's family life is a ruse. The victim and her husband are actually Russian spies.
