After a Hollywood movie producer is murdered during the robbery of a high-stakes poker game, the CSIs believe the serial robber has upped his game with collateral damage. But when they find two types of bullets at the crime scene, they’re forced to conclude the movie producer was actually a target and the robber had a partner. A likely lead is Evelyn Bowers, a sexy housewife who possesses the same type of gun that shot the movie producer. But when she reveals she was there to kill the robber after he injured her son in a previous robbery, the team finds DNA evidence in the air ducts that links the actual shooter to be a hired gun and ex-employee of a former rapper, another player at the match. The rapper admits he blamed the movie producer for ruining his career and planned to stage the murder on the robber, who he contacted to bust the game as a distraction. The rapper gives up the robber's name and the CSIs apprehend him.
