The group's discussion of performance anxiety follows Wes and Travis to work when they realize they're closing in on their 400th arrest, a feat that would put them in the LAPD Legion of Honor. Their shot at 400 comes when a vacationing couple plays Bonnie and Clyde and holds up a packed nightclub, but when Wes and Travis botch what should be a simple arrest, they begin to worry that all the talk of milestones is playing with their minds.
At the same time, Wes's indifference to the advances of a hot witness leads Travis to remark that his partner needs to get "back on the horse." Wes claims he'll get back to dating when he meets someone who is his type, but when just such a woman appears, he finds that re-entering the dating world may not be as easy as he anticipated.
Meanwhile, Wes and Travis miss a chance to nab the vacationing bandits after they strike again, only furthering their Legion of Honor anxieties. But when they learn that their Clyde is actually holding his Bonnie against her will, and that he is suffering from a severe form of cancer, the detectives realize he may have a death wish. The question is, can Travis and Wes get out of their own heads long enough to stop him before he does any real harm?
