Common Law Episode 1.04 Ex-Factor

When the mayor of Beverly Hills becomes the latest victim of a high-end car-jacking ring, Travis is unhappily forced to reunite with his former partner, Phil Kronish. It seems the normally laid back detective is worried that Phil still holds a grudge against him for the way things ended, but it turns out Phil is doing great. In fact, he's heading up the task force investigating the car-jacking ring, much to Travis's chagrin.

Hoping to make it through the week as painlessly as possible, Travis tries to put his head down and ride out the case, but Wes quickly hits on a theory that thrusts the two of them into the spotlight. But unlike the Phil of old, Travis's erstwhile teammate happily gives them full credit. And when Phil extends the olive branch and invites Travis to dinner to put the past behind them, Travis begins to wonder if HE was the one harboring issues with the way things ended.

However, when a break in the case causes Phil's true colors to show, Travis must choose between being the bigger man and squashing the beef, or squishing his former partner's career for the second time.
