The rocker is confirmed not to join his bandmates in the upcoming Bon Jovi Live trek in New Orleans so that he could re-enter rehab to seek treatment for his alcohol addiction.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Richie Sambora is bowing out of upcoming Bon Jovi dates so he can re-enter rehab. Sambora is checking into an undisclosed facility to seek treatment for alcohol addiction and exhaustion, according to TMZ.com.

His bandmates will resume the Bon Jovi Live trek in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday, April 30 without the troubled guitarist. A statement from the group reads: "Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi.

"Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

Sambora completed a rehab stint at the Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2007 as he struggled to cope with his divorce from actress Heather Locklear and the passing of his father. It is not known who will replace Sambora onstage for the Bon Jovi dates he'll miss.
