Neil Young Is 2011 Recipient of Juno's Humanitarian Award

The Canadian rocker will collect the special award at the ceremony to take place on March 27.

Rocker is to be honored in his native Canada for his humanitarian efforts. The singer/songwriter has been named the recipient of the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at this year's Juno prizegiving.

The honor is given to prominent musicians who give time, money and energy to charitable causes. Young was selected for the honor primarily because of his work in co-founding the Farm Aid concert series in 1985, and founding the Bridge School for kids with severe speech and physical impairments.
