Fox said Wilde made her want to strangle a mountain ox, a remark which is disputed by PETA but given a defense by Wilde.

Animal-loving actress has defended after she made a controversial remark about wanting to throttle an ox. The "" star caused outrage by complimenting the "" actress' looks, saying, "Olivia Wilde is so sexy, she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox."

But Wilde, who supports animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has spoken out to defend Fox's choice of "witty" words, insisting she didn't mean them literally.
