Lady GaGa Won YouTube Race Against Justin Bieber

GaGa reached the 1 billion hits of her video over the weekend while Bieber is expected to catch up with the controversial singer next month.

has triumphed over in the battle of YouTube.com - the eccentric singer has become the first artist to score a billion views on the video sharing website. The "Poker Face" hitmaker faced serious competition from Bieber in the last few months as the pair battled to land the coveted title, but GaGa won the race this weekend.

Bieber is expected to follow GaGa to the billion mark next month. GaGa shared the happy news with her fans in a post on her Twitter.com page, writing: "We reached 1 billion views on YouTube little monsters! If we stick together we can do anything. I dub u kings and queens of YouTube! Unite!"

GaGa indeed had drawn powerful number for her videos. Her controversial video for "Telephone" where she shared screen with caused a stir online, attracting more than 12 million viewers in the three days after it debuted on YouTube.com back in March.
