AceShowbiz - Filmmaker James Cameron has paid a glowing public tribute to late "Titanic" star Gloria Stuart, who died in September at the age of 100. Cameron and his wife Suzie took out a two-page advert in movie industry bible Daily Variety on Friday, October 15 to honor the veteran actress.

The pair write, "Gloria, we salute you. Every moment to you was a gift to be savored and celebrated. The sparkle in your eye was as bright at your hundredth birthday party as it was when we first met you in 1996, and, we are sure, as it was when you were a siren of the silver screen in the '30s or a young girl running through the orange groves of Santa Monica in the '20s."

"Your storied life spanned 10 decades, during which you lived fully, with intelligence, compassion, your trademark barbed wit, your love of kits and children, bonsai trees and bawdy jokes. Not content to be a gifted actor, you were a painter, printer, a writer, a raconteur. Most of all you were a friend, deep and true."

"Though we may take solance that you lived every minute of your hundred years with strength, joie de vivre and humor, we will mourn the loss of your company."
