Celebrity

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Perez Hilton says, 'From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.'

AceShowbiz - Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has promised TV host Ellen DeGeneres he will stop poking fun at stars on his website in a bid to raise awareness of bullied gays teenagers. Hilton has become infamous in Hollywood for his relentless online mocking of celebrities and for 'outing' stars he believed to be homosexual.

He recently started a campaign on his site to help stop high school bullying after a string of U.S. students allegedly committed suicide following taunts over their sexual preferences. And Hilton has now agreed to change his own ways in a bid to give his campaign more gravitas.

He tells gay star DeGeneres, "Over the last two weeks I have been doing everything I can to bring awareness to the teen suicides and gay bullying. In doing so a lot of people have called me a hypocrite and a bully myself and a big one... From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem."

In the past Hilton has been embroiled in online feuds with Lily Allen and Miley Cyrus and was involved in a real-life altercation with pop star will.i.am after criticizing his Black Eyed Peas co-star Fergie aka Stacy Ferguson on his blog.
