Funnyman will put to rest long-running rumors he's established a side career as a fiction writer under the pseudonym Ted L. Nancy when he unveils the true identity of the author in an upcoming U.S. TV broadcast. Nancy has published a series of five books since 1997, in which he pens letters to businesses, celebrities and politicians around the world in the style of the actor's legendary Seinfeld sitcom character.

The comedian himself has written forewords to four of Nancy's five releases, but he has left fans confused about claims he is actually the author behind the stories in his introductory note to the latest book, "All New Letters from a Nut: Includes Lunatic Email Exchanges".

Seinfeld writes, "Some have even guessed that I, Jerry Seinfeld, the two-commercial spokesperson for Microsoft Corporation, am the real Ted. All of these allegations, even the true ones, are false." And the mystery surrounding Nancy has been further heightened by the publicity-shy writer in an email to the New York Post.

When asked if he was really Seinfeld, the reclusive author replied, "That you will just have to find out when Jerry Seinfeld reveals the real Ted L. Nancy on national TV. Just make sure you get your 3-D glasses." Nancy's representatives insist the big reveal will take place on CNN in late September, but an exact air date is as yet unknown.
