August 27, 2010 (3:42 am) GMT
Lopez who quit her label Epic earlier this year reached out to the rapper for a song that will save her music career.

Singer/actress is calling on to write her a hit song - because she is desperate to work with the rapper. The star has faced a handful of setbacks while attempting to revive her music career - she delayed the release of her seventh album, "", before eventually quitting her record label Epic Records to sign a contract with Island Def Jam.

And Lopez insists a duet with West would be a dream come true. In a post on her Twitter.com page, Lopez writes, "It'd be so fun to work with him. Kanye - when can you write THAT song for me?"

A track with West wouldn't be Lopez's first hip-hop collaboration - she recorded her chart-topper "I'm Real" with and scored another hit after singing on 's "Control Myself".
