AceShowbiz - Rockers The Smashing Pumpkins will stop traffic in Hollywood later this summer when they headline the 2010 Sunset Strip Music Festival. Billy Corgan and his bandmates will wrap up a full day of live music at venues scattered along Sunset Boulevard with a street gig on August 28.

The three-day event will launch with a tribute to Slash at the House of Blues on August 26. 2009 festival, which lured over 10,000 music fans to the closed-down Strip, was opened and closed by Ozzy Osbourne and featured performances by former KISS star Ace Frehley, Korn and Donnas.

On the upcoming gigs, SSMF Festival Managing Director Karmen Beck said, "We are ecstatic to be able to bring this caliber of talent to the street and create what will undoubtedly become the ultimate end-of-summer music festival experience for our attendees."
