Kristen Dunst Joins Kristen Stewart 'On the Road'

Dunst has just struck a deal to star in the film which will follow a man with a mission to see America in whole.

has signed up to join 's "". The "" star has joined the cast of director Walter Salles' adaptation of Jack Kerouac's novel. and will also star in the film.

The 1957 novel, which played a role in giving rise to the Beat movement, is narrated by Kerouac's thinly veiled alter ego Sal Paradise, who gets inspired to hit the road and see America. The story follows his ups and downs as he hitchhikes, hops trains, meets other travelers, struggles for meals and explores the themes of freedom and longing.

Directed by Walter Salles the film would be released next year. Salles has also followed in Kerouac's footsteps for a documentary, "In Search of On the Road", which is in production, according to Variety.
