Green Day Revamp 'American Idiot' With Broadway Cast

The re-recorded version of Green Day's hit album is scheduled to be released later this year on May 10.

Rockers are set to re-release their hit album "", with added vocals from the cast of the group's spin-off Broadway musical. The "American Idiot Cast Album" will feature actors from the hit musical singing their own renditions of tracks on the original album, in addition to songs from the band's most recent album, "", which are also featured in the production.

Green Day and the American Idiot cast had previously re-recorded the band's track "21 Guns" together for a download release. "American Idiot" the musical first opened last year in Berkeley, California and debuted on Broadway on April 20, this year.

The cast album is set for release on May 10.
