Slash Launches Contest to Invite Fan to Record Album With Him

Slash offers devotees a chance to join him and Guns N' Roses' producer in creating a three-track EP by launching a contest to pick the lucky one who will win a management and distribution deal.

is offering fans the chance to join him in the studio - he's launched a contest which will see one lucky devotee record an album with the legendary guitarist. The musician has teamed up with Guitar Center for a competition which offers wannabe rock stars the chance to create a three-track EP with him and producer Mike Clink.

The winner's single will be posted online with the iTunes digital store and the prize also includes a management and distribution deal. Hopefuls can submit their music on YourNextRecord.com until April 30 when the finalist will be handpicked by Slash and Clink.

On another news, Slash recently revealed that he has invited 's Myles Kennedy to front his solo band for upcoming tour. Via MySpace, he announced, "I want to announce that Myles Kennedy [ALTER BRIDGE] is going to be fronting the band for the upcoming tour. Something I'm really stoked about." He added, "I will announce the other band members shortly."
