The 'Sopranos' actress admits that she feels 'triggered' by the popularity of diabetes medications being used for weight loss, calling out 'beautiful and healthy and perfect' people who are 'abusing it.'

AceShowbiz - Jamie-Lynn Sigler has spoken against the use of Ozempic and Mounjaro for weight loss. As some celebrities have come clean about the use of the meds intended for type 2 diabetes to keep them in shape, the actress has called out "beautiful and healthy and perfect" people who are "abusing it."

Sigler shared her take on the use of weight loss drugs in the Tuesday, May 14 episode of her "MeSsy" podcast with Christina Applegate. "I'm annoyed at myself that I'm admitting this and I'd like to get to the bottom of why I'm a little triggered about all the Ozempic stuff. It's upsetting me," she said. "I wish I didn't care."

Of why she feels upset, she said it's because "it felt like we were on this road to solidifying body positivity, and every shape and size and color, and everyone's looking the same now."

While she and Applegate opened up about their own experiences with body image issues and eating disorders, the former "Entourage" star admitted the drug has helped her friends who have struggled with their weight and she has no problem with it.

"I actually know a handful of people that it has made an incredible difference in their lives. I have seen them struggle with their weight for a very, very, very long time and seen it give them a lot," she said. "I am so happy for them."

The 43-year-old, however, took issue with those taking the drug while not needing it. "I also have seen friends of mine who were beautiful and healthy and perfect abusing it and it's upsetting me," she added.

Applegate seemed to agree with Sigler, chiming in. "People are, you know, fading away." She then jokingly added this cautionary note, "For women out there listening, the thinner your face is, the older you look, okay? Not that looking old is bad!...Aging gracefully is beautiful."

Sigler shared her take on the use of diabetes drugs for weight loss one day after Kelly Clarkson admitted to using it. The 42-year-old got honest about her weight loss journey after Whoopi Goldberg shared her own experience on "The Kelly Clarkson Show".

"Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too," the host said in the Monday, May 13 episode, stressing it's not Ozempic. "My doctor chased me for like two years," the "Because of You" hitmaker continued. "And I was like, 'No, I'm afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems, I was afraid.' Everybody thinks it's Ozempic, it's not - it's something else."

She explained, "But it's something that aids in helping break down the sugar-obviously my body doesn't do it right. I ended up having to do that, because my blood work got so bad."

Unlike Sigler, Al Roker would not criticize those taking medication to lose weight if it's under their doctor's advice. "There's too much judgment going on," he shared on the "Today" show on Tuesday. "People, as long as they're working with their doctors and being healthy about it, people ought to back off and let them live their lives."
