The director gets coy when asked if the Grammy winner will make appearance as mutant pop star Dazzler in the upcoming MCU movie following months of swirling speculation.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Levy, director of the upcoming "Deadpool & Wolverine" film, declined to confirm or deny rumors that Taylor Swift will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie.

Speaking at CinemaCon 2024 in Las Vegas, Levy coyly responded when asked about Swift's potential involvement, "That is hardly confirmed nor denied in this interview."

"I'm going to literally walk about of the frame and save myself, otherwise Ryan's taking a hit [out] on me," he joked, referring to "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds.

Rumors have swirled for over a year that Swift, a close friend of Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, may play the mutant pop star Dazzler in the film. Speculation intensified after Levy supported Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce at a football game in October 2023.

"All that's known is that I went to a football game, and those hours were well-documented and that's all I'm gonna say," Levy stated.

Evidence in favor of Swift's casting includes the fact that the film's teaser was shot in the same house where Swift filmed her short film for "All Too Well" in 2022.

In November 2023, Levy hinted at the rumors, saying, "That was just a Sunday night hang with some friends that became a lot more."

"I'll just say that the proliferation of 'Deadpool 3' casting rumors is hilarious, and also really useful because now there's no way for people to tell what's real and what's not," he added.

"Deadpool & Wolverine", the third installment in the Deadpool franchise, stars Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the titular characters. It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
