The couple met in 2014 on "The Voice" and began dating in 2015 after their respective breakups. They married in 2021 and have remained fiercely supportive of each other's careers.
"She has risen to the top over and over again," Shelton said of Gwen at her Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony. "Not as much as me though."
However, Stefani admits to occasional insecurities within their relationship, which inspired their duet "Purple Irises." She admitted in an interview with NYLON magazine, "I had been going through those times where you're questioning: 'Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?' "
"In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what's happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen. I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid."
Despite the external pressures and her own doubts, Gwen's love for Shelton remains unwavering. She trusts that their bond and shared values will overcome any challenges they may face. "The truth is I am in love with my best friend," she said, "and all this s**t I'm thinking of in my brain, that's all it is - I'm overthinking."
