According to the report, the former Destiny's Child member and her team played a dramatic game of 'musical dressing rooms' and inquired about a green room upstairs because 'they didn't like the one she was in.'

AceShowbiz - Kelly Rowland was supposed to appear on the "Today" show on Thursday morning, February 15. However, the former member of Destiny's Child walked out of the NBC show due to a dressing room issue, and she has since been replaced by Rita Ora.

The 43-year-old was scheduled to join Hoda Kotb as a co-host at the 10 A.M. hour of "Today" after becoming Savannah Guthrie's guest on the 8 A.M. hour. Unfortunately, she dropped out at the 11th hour because her dressing room wasn't good enough.

"Kelly and her team were not happy," a source told Page Six. "They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour."

Kelly's exit reportedly left "Today" insiders "perplexed" because "she's beloved at 'Today'." A source added, "She was getting the full hour, and Hoda's the biggest hype woman on the planet! It made no sense."

According to the report, the "Survivor" songstress and her team played a dramatic game of "musical dressing rooms." They allegedly inquired about a green room upstairs because "they didn't like the one she was in."

Luckily, Rita filled in for Kelly and she didn't take issue with her dressing room, which was similar to the latter's. An informant told PEOPLE, "Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was."

Despite the drama, Kelly still had a great time on Thursday after attending the premiere of her new movie, "Mea Culpa". She penned on X (formerly Twitter), " 'Grateful! Thank You to everyone who came out, showed out(cause everyone looked so fly) flew out, to support, it lit up my heart, in such a way! I wish everyone could experience watching it, the way we watched it lastnight! NYC energy was INSANE!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!! #MeaCulpa out February 23rd!!"
