When opening up about his alleged psychedelic drug intake during a press conference, the singer acknowledges that 'the mushroom talk cost me all of my contracts.'

AceShowbiz - Michael Buble has retracted his statement about being on mushrooms during the NHL All-Star Game draft. The "Feeling Good" crooner made the honest confession when speaking to the media, but now he walked back his statement.

The 48-year-old set the record straight when a fan asked him on Instagram, "How were the shrooms;)." He answered the question by saying, "years and people still don't get my humor. I just keep rolling. lol."

When speaking with iHeart Radio Canada, Buble also played coy when pressed about his alleged mushroom intake. "Have the mushrooms worn off?" the reporter asked. In response, the musician asked back, "What mushrooms? Do you have mushrooms? Is that what you're saying?"

"I want to know how many mushrooms do people have to be on to not know my sense of humor after 20 years," he further stressed. "That's my big question."

Buble initially told the press on Thursday, February 1, "My buddy told me this was just a microdose of mushrooms, and he was lying." He continued, "I'll be honest, I thought I was in 'Blades of Glory' for most of the time that I was out there until it sort of settled down and then I realized, 'Holy s**t. I'm at an NHL All-Star Game.' "

Will Arnett, who sat next to Buble in the presser, then joked that the jazz singer had just compromised his career with his revelation. "It just occurs to me that through all the incredible songs that you've done over the years and all the hearts of women that you've won over around the world, with all that talk about fantasy hockey, you lost them all in one sentence," the 53-year-old said.

"It all just evaporated... it's just gone," Arnett added. Agreeing, Buble quipped, "The mushroom talk cost me all of my contracts." Arnett then echoed the sentiment, "Well, the mushroom talk definitely cost you a lot of income."
