Many social media users poke fun at the 'Expensive Pain' artist after he asked on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend about how fans in Africa listen to his music.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill found himself being trolled online for his innocent question. Many social media users poked fun at the "Expensive Pain" artist after he asked how fans in Africa listen to his music.

On Saturday, January 20, the 36-year-old wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Do a lot of people play my music in South Africa I remember having on big show their [sic] few years back." He added, "how do yall listen to our music in South Africa???? On what platform or in Nigeria?"

People were quick to troll Meek. One person replied, "Well, it depends on the season. In summer we hear it through the trunk of an elephant. In spring the giraffes catch signal and play it out loud. You get me?" Another added, "Normally we use rocks but on a good day we use trees or we get one person to sing for the whole village."

"On a good day we climb the mountain to listen to the forest play your music. On days when it's rainy, we go down the nearest river and a mermaid comes out to sing your songs," a third quipped. "We have only one computer here in my village, so it was my turn to tweet. [praying hands emoji] will hear from me next year."

Others, however, came to Meek's defense. One fan opined, "I think he’s simply asking what DSP people use. All of these reactions are overblown. Spotify just became available in Nigeria 3 years ago. Tap in with Audiomack Africa, Meek, they have the true pulse."

This is not the first time Meek became the butt of Internet jokes. Back in July, he got roasted for sharing a picture of him being wasted in his bathroom. The trolling was apparently bad enough that he decided to deactivate his account.
