AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg's daughter Cori Broadus has found support in her fans. Many social media users sent prayers to her after she revealed that she suffered a "severe" stroke.
The 24-year-old came clean with her medical condition via Instagram Story on Thursday, January 18. "I had a severe stroke this am," she wrote, adding two teary-eyed emojis. "I started breaking down crying when they told me."
In a separate post, Cori lamented, "Like I'm only 24." She went on to question, "What did I do in my past to deserve all of this."
The posts have since been re-shared by The Shade Room on Instagram and that's where fans left supportive messages. One person wrote, "Praying for complete healing and recovery!" Another added, "Prayers of healing, may God give strength and restore every fiber of her body from the top of her head to the soles of her feet."
A third chimed in, "You survived sis !! Your comeback will be greater than the setbacks. Refuse to quit !! God has his hands on you." Someone else replied, "Praying for you, you are still here. Just heal and I hope you can have a full and speedy recovery. That's so scary especially for a 24 year old."
Back in February 2023, Cori divulged that she underwent surgery where a small piece of kidney tissue was removed to analyze any abnormalities. "Just got off the phone w my rheumatologist, and these are the results from the biopsy," she penned at the time. "3 is mild but still active," she wrote.
"I would've had to take chemotherapy if I was at 4," she explained. While doctors recommended she start Benlysta treatment, consisting of a shot once a month or by injection every week, the singer seemed to have been assured that her condition was still at a reversible stage.
In September 2022, Cori disclosed that she was diagnosed with lupus when she was just 6 years old. "So my immune system is super weak. I [have] experienced hair loss, so my mom came home one day with a bunch of scarves, and we were playing in scarves and just trying them [in] different ways," she said.
