AceShowbiz - More winners were announced at the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards which took place on Monday, January 15. That night was definitely a big one for most winners as it marked their first time winning the coveted award.

Jeremy Allen White was celebrated as the winner of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance on "The Bear". The actor's victory came after he scored his first-ever Emmy nomination as he competed against Bill Hader ("Barry"), Jason Sudeikis ("Ted Lasso"), Martin Short ("Only Murders in the Building" and Jason Segel ("Shrinking") for the award.

Jeremy, who played Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto, said during his speech, "I am so proud, I am so full of gratitude, to be standing in front of you all," before thanking the "beautiful cast and beautiful crew" of the show. "Thank you to all those who stayed close to me, especially this past year. Thank you for believing in me when I had trouble believing in myself."

"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" was also among the honorees at this year's Emmys. The John Oliver-fronted talk show was named as the best scripted variety series, besting "A Black Lady Sketch Show" and "Saturday Night Live".

Later, Niecy Nash-Betts was presented with an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for her appearance on Netflix's "Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story". Other nominees included "Welcome to Chippendales" actresses Annaleigh Ashford and Juliette Lewis, "Beef" star Maria Bello, "Fleishman Is in Trouble" actress Claire Danes, Camila Morrone of "Daisy Jones & The Six" as well as "Tiny Beautiful Things" star Merritt Weaver.

"The Bear", meanwhile, collected another victory with Christopher Storer winning Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. On the other hand, "RuPaul's Drag Race" celebrated its win for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at this year's Emmys.

Later that night, Travor Noah-hosted talk show "The Daily Show With Trevor Noah" picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Talk Series. The show took home the award after edging out big series included "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "Late Night with Seth Meyers", "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and "The Problem with Jon Stewart".
