AceShowbiz - The full list of winners in the TV department at the 2024 Critics' Choice Awards has finally been revealed. Held on Sunday, 14 January at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, the 29th annual ceremony saw "Beef" and "The Bear" coming out as the biggest winner with four trophies each.
The Netflix series took home the Best Limited Series award. It also nabbed three acting awards for Steven Yeun (Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television), Ali Wong (Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television) and Maria Bello (Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television).
"The Bear", meanwhile, scooped up the Best Comedy Series award. The FX/Hulu show also earned awards for Jeremy Allen White (Best Actor in a Comedy Series), Ayo Edebiri (Best Actress in a Comedy Series) as well as Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series).
Trailing behind with three wins was "Succession", which captured the night's Best Drama Series prize. It also bagged accolades for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Drama Series for Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook respectively.
Other acting awards went to Billy Crudup for his supporting role on "The Morning Show" and Elizabeth Debicki for her portrayal of Princess Diana on "The Crown". Meryl Streep won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on "Only Murders in the Building", and Jonathan Bailey received Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television his performance on "Fellow Travelers".
Netflix's "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" won Best Animated Series, with "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" collecting the Best Talk Show trophy. As for the Best Comedy Special, it went to "John Mulaney: Baby J".
The 2024 Critics' Choice Awards, presented by The Critics Choice Association (CCA), was honoring the finest achievements of filmmaking and television programming in 2023 with "Oppenheimer" dominating the full movie winner list.
