The 'Silence of the Lamb' actress comes under fire after saying in an interview with The Guardian that Gen Z are 'really annoying, especially in the workplace.'

AceShowbiz - Jodie Foster has landed in hot water over her recent statement. The "Silence of the Lambs" actress found herself being dubbed "rude" for calling Gen Z, usually referred to as those born between 1997 and 2012, "really annoying" to work with.

Among the critics wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Ah the boomers moaning about laziness and can't stand the idea that this gen are way ahead in their attitudes towards work and giving away too much of themselves." Another simply fumed, "RUDEE!!"

Someone else argued, "I agree but to be fair, aren't the older generations to blame for raising them?" A fourth individual opined, " 'Generations' is a false construct. There is endless human variation in every age group. Divisive silliness."

In an interview with The Guardian, Jodie said, "They're really annoying, especially in the workplace. They're like, 'Nah, I'm not feeling it today, I'm gonna come in at 10.30am.' " She added, "Or, like, in emails, I'll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling? And they're like, 'Why would I do that, isn't that kind of limiting?' "

Despite her irritation with some members of Gen Z, Jodie has a close relationship with many. One in particular is non-binary star Bella Ramsey, 20, who Jodie asked to introduce her at the Elle magazine Women in Hollywood celebration.
