On 'Today with Hoda and Jenna' show, the co-host of the TV program appears to have defended the 'Bodak Yellow' raptress for making love with her estranged husband despite their breakup.

AceShowbiz - Hoda Kotb has weighed in on Cardi B and Offset's sexual encounter following their breakup. On her "Today with Hoda & Jenna" show, the co-host of the TV program admitted that she too had a post-split hookup with one of her exes.
In the Wednesday, January 3 episode of the talk show, the 59-year-old co-host candidly stated that she could relate to Cardi having sex with Offset after going public with their breakup. Speaking to her viewers, she said that she too has "fallen into old habits" with one of her exes in the past. She went on to claim that she did "regret" it while insisting that it wouldn't happen if she had "a little more willpower" to avoid her desire.
Seemingly defending Cardi, Hoda explained, "After you've been with someone for seven years, and you see them, and it's New Year's Eve, sometimes if you've been broken up for even a month or two or whatever it is … sometimes you forget what it was that was bugging [you]." She continued, "There are times where you're like, 'What was so bad about that?' "
In response, her co-host Jenna Bush Hager reminded the 31-year-old hip-hop artist that holidays sometimes come with "traps," which could bring "you back to the exes." Hoda further warned, "Gotta be careful, gotta be careful!"
In the episode, Hoda did not specifically mention the name of the ex that she was talking about. However, she appeared to have made a reference to her former fiance Joel Schiffman. She and Joel were dating for eight years and engaged for two years before announcing that they have called it quits in January 2022.
Hoda's statement came a few days after Cardi made the confession about hooking up with Offset on New Year's Eve following their split. "Was I clubbing with my baby daddy? Yes. Did I get d**ked down on New Year's Eve? Absolutely. I needed d**k on New Year's Eve. I feel like we were vibing on New Year's Eve, we had a good time," the raptress, who confirmed their breakup on December 10, stated.
