Speaking to his brother Jason Kelce on their 'New Heights' podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end says it was 'cool' to ring in the new year with his friends and family.

AceShowbiz - Travis Kelce had a "fun" New Year's Eve with his mom and girlfriend Taylor Swift. The 34-year-old sportsman turned out for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Cincinnati Bengals on December 31, watched by his mother Donna and the "Cruel Summer" singer, and afterwards they celebrated the turning of the year with a big group of family and friends.

Speaking on their "New Heights" podcast, Jason Kelce asked his brother, "How was having Mom there for that game? Pretty good?" Travis responded, "It was fun, yeah. And then we all got to celebrate New Year's together."

"It was cool, man, to have all the friends and family. I think I had over 50-55 people come in for this one...," the 34-year-old athlete added. "It was cool to have Mom in town to catch up on a little Christmas and the New Year. Bring the New Year in with her."

Travis got to exchange gifts with Donna, but wouldn't tell his brother about a particularly "awesome" present he received. He said, "I got to exchange presents with Mama Kelce. I can't tell you what I got because some things are still being made for you. That's one of the gifts and it's awesome. You're gonna love this gift."

On Christmas Day, December 25, Travis saw his team lose to the Las Vegas Raiders and he later admitted he had had the "worst" festive day he could remember. When asked how his Christmas was, on his podcast, he said, "F**king worst, I'm not gonna lie! I've had better. But it ended well. It ended well with good Christmas cheer and good people. That's always gonna save Christmas no matter if you lose to the Raiders or not."

The NFL star spent the big day with "Anti-Hero" songstress Taylor, 34, her family and his dad Ed as an insider claimed how "special" it was for the families to be together and it had been such a "meaningful" time for Taylor.

A source told the Daily Mail newspaper, "Seeing their families together on such a special holiday was the best gift ever for Taylor. She's never had this happen before and it made the holiday the most meaningful one for her."

The source admitted Travis was left "bummed" his team didn't win their festive match against the Raiders, but said he's "at the point in his career where he does not let this get to him too much and is looking forward to the next game."
