The former 'Real Housewives of New York City' star is bombarded with criticisms from social media users, including one who deemed the pictures 'inappropriate and exploitative.'

AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel has had a number of social media users come in defense following her controversial post. The former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" was defended against critics, who blasted her for sharing "inappropriate" photos of her underage daughter.

The 52-year-old ex-Bravolebrity received many supportive messages from Instagram users on Friday, December 29. In the comments section of her new post, one in particular noted, "She's in swimwear at the beach and her mom took her picture. I don't understand the outrage."

Similarly, another wrote, "Some of these comments - Jesus Christ the pearl clutching. Bryn isn't 8 years old. She's a teenager. Bethenny knows what's best for her child. I can't believe I'm commenting on a strangers IG, but here we are." Another noted, "She's in swimwear at the beach and her mom took her picture. I don't understand the outrage."

The online responses came one day after Bethenny released a series of photos featuring her and her daughter Bryn, whom she shares with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy. In the snaps, the mother and daughter duo could be seen having a blast during their getaway at a beach. Bryn was photographed wearing a blue bra top and a pair of matching undies. Meanwhile, Bethenny donned a colorful bodysuit that had a long matching cover-up skirt.

Along with the pictures, the former reality TV star wrote in the caption of the post, "Two jerks in TURKS. After a hardworking year, mixed with some medical issues, this trip was an impulse decision and I think we made a good choice… New Year's resolutions incoming and being crafted as we speak… xoxo #mommyandme #turksandcaicos #vacation #daughterlove #beachtime #traveltime #memories."

It did not take long for the post to be flooded with comments, including negative ones, from online critics. One of them stated, "Swimsuit shots of your daughter are so Inappropriate and exploitative." Meanwhile, another reminded the star, "Love you but the internet is an awful place you outta remove Bryn's bikini pic, although I fear it's already too late."
