AceShowbiz - Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel have yet to take their relationship to a whole new level. Although a report suggested that the pair had gotten engaged, Page Six confirmed the opposite.
A source told the publication that the engagement rumors between Matty and Gabbriette are "completely false." The couple themselves have yet to address the matter.
The engagement rumors were first brought up by Deuxmoi, which claimed in Instagram Stories on Monday, November 13 that the tip was from a "reliable source." The gossip account later spilled what the anonymous tipster said about the couple's alleged engagement.
In a screenshot, someone wrote in a DM to Deuxmoi, "Not sure if you already posted about it or not but matty healy and gabbriete are engaged." The source also asked to remain anonymous.
Fueling the rumors, Gabbriette was seen wearing a large stone on her left ring finger during an out-and-about with Matty in New York City. The influencer went all black for for the outing, while her man opted to go with a black puffer jacket and sunglasses.
Matty and Gabbriete were first linked romantically when they were pictured showing PDA during an outing in New York City in September. In pictures circulating online, they were seen getting cozy, kissing, hugging and holding hands, during a stroll around Soho and Washington Square Park.
Matty's new fling came on the heels of his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. They first sparked romance rumors in early May, but reportedly called it quits in June. According to Deuxmoi, the pair might not be really over because they were never dating to begin with, adding that their fling was "not a committed relationship."
