Actress Ione Skye mourns the passing of the former 'Friends' actor and shares a final text message sent by the late star only days before he was found dead.

AceShowbiz - One of Matthew Perry's final text conservations was revealed by actress Ione Skye - in which he told her he thought of her beauty while meditating and listening to an iconic love song. The late "Friends" star - who lost his life in a suspected drowning in his hot tub on Saturday, October 28 - starred with Ione, 53, in 1988's "A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon", and messaged her 13 days before his death.

"I'm very very sad. Loved this guy," Ione shared the set of messages on her Instagram alongside the message.

Matthew - who is thought to have been single when he died - started their conversation on October 15 by writing, "Hi! I hope all is well. I was meditating (I meditate now) and 'In Your Eyes' started playing. And I instantly thought of how beautiful you are."

The song is featured in one of Ione's best-known movies "Say Anything…", which features the iconic scene where John Cusack holds up a boombox playing the track to woo Ione's character Diane Court.

Mum-of-two Ione, who is married to her second husband, musician Ben Lee, 45, replied to Matthew, "Awe. I love that. Xo." The actor then shared his hopes the "Arrested Development" star was "happy and healthy," with Ione replying, "Yes I am both. I think! Good to hear from you. I only have nice memories with you."

The conversation appeared to conclude when Ione "liked" Matthew's final message to her, which said, "Me too. That one afternoon, I was just sitting in my apartment, and there you were!"

Ione is one of many of Matthew's former co-stars to honour the Emmy nominee since his death, which came after years of his struggles with drink and drug addictions.

Hank Azaria, 59, credited the star with helping him get sober in an Instagram video while 62-year-old Maggie Wheeler - best known for playing Chandler's cackling girlfriend Janice in "Friends" - said how "blessed" she feels by "every creative moment" they shared.

It's been reported there were no signs of foul play at Matthew's death scene, but sources said they found a huge range of prescription drugs at his $6 million mansion, from anti-depressants and anxiety tablets to heart medication.
