AceShowbiz - Tristan Thompson's drama with his first baby mama Jordan Craig continues. Jordan claims in court documents that the Canadian basketball player owes her $224,000 in child support for their son Prince.
Jordan filed the docs, which were obtained by Daily Mail, in a Los Angeles court last month. In the declaration, she stated that the Cleveland Cavaliers star, who is required to pay $40,000 per month for child support, has been making "either partial payments or missing child support payments altogether" since November 2022.
In the court documents, Jordan attached a list of payments made by the athlete over the 10-month period. According to the list, he paid $20,000 in November, sent her $40,000 in December, but skipped payment in January. He continued to pay less than required amount of money in the next months until August.
She is now asking the court to withhold Tristan's income from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the amount of $80,000 a month. She adds that she wants the payments "to stay in effect until the arrears are satisfied," arguing, "It is my belief that Tristan signed a 'veteran's minimum' contract with the Cavaliers that pays him $2.7 million per year. The $80,000 request is certainly less than half of his monthly salary."
The revelation came after Jordan's sister Kai slammed Tristan in an Instagram post. "It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister's privacy. I haven't for over 7 years, but this is just too much," Kai wrote earlier this month, in response to Kim Kardashian praising Tristan for being a good father. "It's so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can't seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince."
"The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it's for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable," she added of Tristan, who also shares two kids with Khloe Kardashian and one child with Maralee Nichols. "@KimKardashian I don't want to believe that you are this insensitive to the fact that he literally ignores his children. That's nice if he's been a good friend to you, but let's consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man's character."
