AceShowbiz - Jay-Z has weighed in on the viral debate about taking $500,000 or having lunch with him. During his sit-down with Gayle King in an upcoming episode of "CBS Mornings", the hip-hop icon can be seen settling the debate for once and all with a cheeky and real take on the matter.

In a sneak peek clip, Jay-Z reveals his answer to the burning question which has been heavily discussed among his fans. "You gotta take the money," the 53-year-old rapper casually says. He then asks, "What I'mma say?"

Gayle then points out that having lunch with him will allow people to get the "4:44" hitmaker's "wisdom" and with that, many believe that they could make much more than $500,000. "Because you got all that in the music for $10.99. That's a bad deal. I wouldn't tell you to cut a bad deal," Jay-Z explains. "Take the $500,000, go buy some albums and listen to the albums. It's all there."

The husband of Beyonce Knowles further advises, "If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, for what it is, it's all there. Everything that I said was going to happen, happened. Everything that I said I wanted to do, I've done, and there's the blueprint," referencing the title of his iconic 2001 album. "The 'Blueprint', literally, to me and my life and my journey is there already."

While it's unknown how and where the "lunch with Jay-Z or $500K" meme originated, versions of the iterations were posted on social media at least as early as 2017. The question sparked debate between users with some claiming that having lunch with the music icon would be the best choice given his storied career. Some others said that they would take $500K without hesitation.

In the 2-part interview, Jay-Z will also give an exclusive tour of "Book of HOV" exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library. It is scheduled to air on Thursday and Friday, October 26-27.
