The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly has just closed a deal to buy the new mansion, which is way bigger than his old house, in a gated community as he feels the need for more privacy.

AceShowbiz - Travis Kelce is getting himself a new house for more privacy amid his relationship with Taylor Swift. The NFL star has reportedly just purchased a $6 million mansion in Kansas City following rumors that he and his girlfriend were looking to buy a house together.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ that the athlete closed the deal for just under $6 million on Tuesday, October 17. The site notes that he bought it with his own cash and it's not a joint purchase with his girlfriend.

For such price, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is getting a way bigger and more secluded property than his old house. Travis' new pad is said to be located in a gated community and features 6 bedrooms, 6 baths and over 16,000 square feet of living space. It is also equipped with a waterfall, swimming pool, mini golf course as well as a tennis and pickleball court.

According to the outlet, Travis wanted the upgrade because he felt the need for more privacy. He allegedly felt uneasy with how accessible his old house was, with people starting to swing by and stake out the place following his dating reports with Taylor.

As it was reported before, the pop superstar appeared to stay at Travis' Kansas City home last Friday, October 13 after she attended the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday. Her security cars were seen being parked outside the athlete's mansion to keep a watchful eye out gawkers and trespassers.

The purchase comes following reports that Taylor and Travis were looking to buy a house together in Kansas City. Fueling the rumors, Jenna Bush Hager said in the Monday, October 16 episode of "Today", "A friend from Kansas City texted me there might be news they're buying a house."

She then quickly cautioned viewers that the rumor was "not confirmed by NBC News" and noted that her friend was not a realtor. The news was soon debunked by ET.

In other news, Travis has joked about Taylor's meeting with his dad Ed Kelce at his latest game. When his brother Jason Kelce brought up the topic on their "New Heights" podcast, the 34-year-old hunk responded, "Yeah, Taylor talking to Dad-you know Dad like I know Dad..."

"He shouldn't be talking to Taylor Swift," Jason insisted, to which Travis agreed as saying, "This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible." Jason further chimed in, "If you see Dad talking to anybody and you can't hear what's happening, who knows where that conversation's going?"
