Making use of her Instagram Story, the former 'Kate Plus 8' star claims that she no longer speaks to her younger brother Collin, who allegedly made physical threats toward her in the past.

AceShowbiz - Mady Gosselin has spoken out in the wake of younger brother Collin Gosselin's bombshell interview for Vice's "Dark Side of the 2000s". Making use of her Instagram Story, Mady claimed that she no longer speaks to Collin, who allegedly made physical threats toward her in the past.
"I never wanted to have to speak up about this in order to allow my brother the ability to live privately after the conclusion of our family's TV show, but I've been overwhelmed by hate messages in the last few days and I feel I must set the record straight," Mady wrote on Thursday, July 20.
The 22-year-old went on to say, "I do not owe my allegiance to any person(s) who has physically threatened me and every member of my immediate family (some incidents as recent as last year). Further, I will never allow someone who has exhibited hateful and even violent behavior toward others based on their racial identity, gender identity, or religious beliefs to be in my life."
Stressing that "kindness, tolerance, love, and acceptance are core values in my life," the college student added, "I refuse to compromise them for ANYONE, even my brother Collin, who has unfortunately made his opinions very clear in private. For me, there is no further conversation to be had about rebuilding relationships with anyone in my life after reaching the point of physical violence and hate speech. I cannot speak any further on why Collin has done these things, just that I have witnessed them."
"I've had hundreds of people messaging my private accounts with the most hurtful words you can imagine in the last few days, all without knowing the full truth of what we've been through. I'm asking for peace and privacy (and no more hate mail) going forward," the former "Kate Plus 8" star concluded.
In the Wednesday, July 19 episode of "Dark Side of the 2000s", Collin shared that his mom Kate Gosselin sent him to various institutions to stop him from revealing her alleged abuse. "I was starting to tell my teachers that my mother was - wait, real quick. Can I use the word 'abusive' or are they not allowed to use that on air?" he said, adding that his mom's abuse was "kind of the reason why she sent me away."
He went on to say, "I was starting to tell people what was going on at home, and she caught wind of that and had to put me somewhere where I wouldn't be able to get the secrets out."
Kate sent Collin to the Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute in 2016 to address his "special needs." He was later moved to another facility in Pittsburgh, where he pleaded for help from his father, Jon Gosselin, through a letter.
Collin's sister Hannah, who is living with Jon alongside Collin, also weighed in on the matter on the show. According to Hannah, none of the other Gosselin kids speak to their brother. "They don't talk to Collin," she explained. "Everyone eventually found out what happened to him, but now they decided to just not have a relationship with him."
