AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman is officially back as Wolverine. After teasing his return as the mutant with his workout photos and videos, the actor has finally unveiled his first look in the upcoming "Deadpool 3".

The Australian hunk has apparently joined Ryan Reynolds for the shooting of the movie in England. In the photo posted on his and the Canadian-born star's respective social media page, the two actors were seen filming a scene together.

Jackman sported Wolverine's classic look in a yellow-and-blue suit, similar to the character's appearance in the comic books and the X-Men animated series of the 1990s. Reynolds, meanwhile, wore Deadpool's new costume which was revealed in previously-seen set pictures.

"Don't blink," read the caption of the Instagram Story, which was posted on Monday, July 10. Both actors also added an animated image of Deadpool and Wolverine on their respective Story.

Hugh Jackman posted first look at his Wolverine return in 'Deadpool 3'.

Jackman previously hung Wolverine's adamantium claws after 2017's "Logan". After years of badgering by Reynolds, in September 2022, they announced in a video that the "Les Miserables" star agreed to return as the Marvel superhero character for "Deadpool 3".

"I never stopped (trying to get him to come back as Wolverine)," Reynolds told ET Canada of how he convinced Jackman to come out of his retirement as Wolverine. "I was just pestering him like a gnat over the last many years. I believe in timing, as much as hard work and luck and all those intersections that are supposed to meet. Timing's the big one. I think he was ready. I think he was excited."

Besides Jackman's Wolverine, "Deadpool 3" will bring back Jennifer Garner as Elektra. She last portrayed the character in "Elektra" (2005) after first appearing in 2003's "Daredevil, The Movie" with her future ex-husband Ben Affleck.

"Deadpool 3" also has Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna and Stefan Kapicic among the returning cast, but Zazie Beetz has confirmed that she will not return for the threequel. The movie is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on May 3, 2024.
