The incident takes place when the Canadian rap star is performing a rendition of Ginuwine's song 'So Anxious' during the opening night of his 'It's All a Blur' tour in Chicago.

AceShowbiz - Drake won't let anyone or anything interrupt his gig. Despite being hit by a phone onstage, the "Certified Lover Boy" artist remained unfazed and continued his performance.

The incident took place during the opening night of the Canadian rap star's "It's All a Blur" tour in Chicago. He was performing a rendition of Ginuwine's song "So Anxious" at the Wednesday, July 5 show when someone from the crowd threw a phone at him.

Based on a video that circulated online, the mobile device hit Drake in the arm. He, however, just stood still watching the phone land on the ground and not addressing the incident.

Drake was lucky that he was left unharmed. Bebe Rexha, unfortunately, experienced the opposite. She sustained an eye injury after someone threw a phone that hit her in the face during a "Best F'n Night of My Life Tour" stop in New York City on June 18.

In the wake of the incident, Bebe reportedly got three stitches to mend her injury. "Bebe Rexha's mother reveals that she had to get three stitches after someone in the audience threw a phone at her head during her concert," PopBase shared in a tweet. According to ABC7NY, the concertgoer who threw the phone, Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested for assault.

Bebe even gave fans a closer look at her injured eye. On Monday, she let out a series of photos, one of which showed white bandages that covered up a number of stitches slightly under her left brow.

Drake and Bebe are among artists to be victims of the "trend" of throwing objects at performers. Earlier this month, a concertgoer hurled a sex toy mimicking a vagina at Lil Nas X while he was performing in Sweden. Days prior to that, someone threw a bracelet that hit Kelsea Ballerini in the eye.
