AceShowbiz - Nikki Reed couldn't be happier to have welcomed a new addition to her and Ian Somerhalder's family. Revealing that she has given birth to a baby boy, the "Twilight" actress said her heart "doubled in size."

Making use of Instagram Story, on Thursday, June 29, the 35-year-old shared a photo of herself smiling while holding her newborn's hand. She began her caption by writing, "A few weeks ago we welcomed our son on what can only be described as one of the most beautiful days of my life. Born at home in water and surrounded by so much love, in an instant, my heart doubled in size."

"As all of you know, I have very strong boundaries with social media, especially when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world," she added. "I wanted to share first so I can say thank you in advance for honoring those boundaries and for sending positivity, kindness and LOVE."

Nikki subtly teased the baby news one day prior alongside a picture of her being partially cut off at the frame. In the image, she was holding a blanket to her chest. The proud mom also unleashed a photo of a field of flowers with a message that read, "Meanwhile I'm here getting pooped and peed on but let's pretend life is glamorous for a second ;) Although truth be told, I wouldn't have it any other way."

"2023 celebrating life. Years of dreaming, manifesting and praying over this very moment. So much love. What a gift," Nikki captioned the post. Her husband, meanwhile, penned a longer message that read, "All I've ever wanted from the time I was a young boy was to have a big family. Thank you Nik for giving me that gift."

Thank you thank you to this incredible human for the gift of life and love, for being the most incredible mom and working so hard to make dreams come true!!!" the Damon Salvatore depicter on "The Vampire Diaries" further raved. "When I was taking this photo, I could not believe what I was seeing through that viewfinder. There's nothing more beautiful."
