Nearly one year after pulling the plug on his 'Wonder' world tour, the 'Monster' hitmaker joins the 'Thinking Out Loud' singer to perform two of their hit songs.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes has finally made a stage comeback. Nearly one year after canceling his "Wonder" world tour, the "If I Can't Have You" singer surprised concertgoers by joining Ed Sheeran on the stage during the latter's concert for duet performances.

On Saturday, June 17, Shawn joined Ed during the former's tour stop at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. Offering an unsuspecting crowd with surprise duets, the two singers teamed up to deliver the latter's 2011 hit single "Lego House".

The "Senorita" singer and the "Thinking Out Loud" singer also treated concertgoers to another stage collaboration with the former's 2017 hit, "There's Nothing Holdin Me Back". For their surprise duets, the two musicians strummed their acoustic guitars.

On the special occasion, Shawn went with a nearly all-white ensemble. He sported a body fit short-sleeved white top and a pair of loose long ivory-colored pants. He completed his look with a pair of white sneakers, and carried his dominantly white guitar.

In contrast, Ed donned an all-black outfit. He wore a short-sleeved black tee and a pair of long black pants. For his footwear, he chose to wear a pair of black sneakers with a little bit of red on their soles.

Shawn's surprise appearance at Ed's concert came nearly a year after he pulled the plug on his "Wonder" world tour due to mental health issues. In July 2022, he announced, "As you guys know, I had to postpone the past few weeks of shows since I wasn't totally prepared for the toll of being back on the road would take on me."

On the reason behind the cancellation, the former boyfriend of Camila Cabello explained, "I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away. "

"After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I've never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger. I unfortunately have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe," he continued.

"We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority," he added.
