The seven-time Super Bowl champion is reportedly negotiating with Raiders owner Mark Davis about buying a piece of his team and becoming an NFL owner.

AceShowbiz - After retiring, Tom Brady is seemingly on his way to pursue his dream as an NFL owner. If a new report is to be believed, the NFL legend is negotiating with Raiders owner Mark Davis about buying a piece of his team.

The report claims that the seven-time Super Bowl champion and Davis have been in "deep discussion" about Brady coming on board in a limited partnership capacity. As the negotiation is still underway, nothing has yet to be finalized.

It's additionally noted that even if things have been finalized, Brady's investment is expected to be "passive" as he will not be involved in the team's business or football affairs. Meanwhile, the deal won't affect his 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX Sports as the retired athlete has allegedly been given the blessing to pursue Raiders ownership.

According to sources, league policy about team ownership overlapping with media employment comes into play only if the owner holds a position of authority at the media company and could impact broadcast rights negotiations. FOX and the NFL agreed to an 11-year rights deal in 2021.

If the Raiders deal is sealed, it marks Brady and Davis' second foray into a partnership. Just last month, Brady purchased a stake in the 67-year-old's WNBA team, the Las Vegas Aces.

Brady has been showing interest to be an NFL owner. In 2021 and 2022, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback reportedly had discussions with the Miami Dolphins about becoming a limited partner.

However, it fell through after a six-month NFL investigation found that Dolphins team owner Stephen Ross and vice chairman/limited partner Bruce Beal violated the anti-tampering policy in conversations with Brady. The team faced several disciplinary measures, one of which was being stripped of its first-round pick in last month's draft.
