AceShowbiz - Rachel McAdams is comfortable with her own body. The "Mean Girls" actress proudly poses with her armpit hair showing for a photo shoot with Bustle ahead of the release of her highly anticipated movie "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret."
For the photo shoot, the 44-year-old actress had her armpit hair on full display while rocking various outfits, including a sexy corset. In one picture, she could be seen sprawled across a burgundy loveseat with unshaved body hair.
She accessorized herself with white, round Chopard earrings, a silver Bulgari necklace and ring and a De Beers tennis necklace. She also wore an Ali Weiss ring and a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
Rachel did request that the images only get minimal retouching. In the accompanying interview, "The Notebook" star opened up about the importance of being real about her body. "With this shoot, I'm wearing latex underwear. But I've had two children," she said. "This is my body, and I think that's so important to reflect back out to the world. It's OK to look your best and work at it and be healthy, but that's different for everyone."
The "Wedding Crashers" actress also addressed one of her last photo shoots, in which she posed in Versace and Bulgari as well as a breast pump. "I love that juxtaposition of beauty, glam, fantasy, and then truth," Rachel divulged, noting that the photo was taken six months postpartum while she was still breastfeeding.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Canadian star talked about missed film opportunities and her recent two-year break from acting. "There's certainly things like 'I wish I'd done that,' " likely referring to roles she turned down in "The Devil Wears Prada", "Casino Royale", "Mission: Impossible 3", "Iron Man" and "Get Smart". However, she conceded, "I step back and go, 'That was the right person for that.' "
Of her break, Rachel revealed, "I felt guilty for not capitalizing on the opportunity that I was being given, because I knew I was in such a lucky spot. But I also knew it wasn't quite jiving with my personality and what I needed to stay sane." She added, "There were definitely some anxious moments of wondering if I was just throwing it all away, and why was I doing that? It's taken years to understand what I intuitively was doing."
